Dear music fans,
I write a lot about relationships, and some of the best ones I've had over the years have been with you - my audience. You guys certainly know how to see love, so now I want to see it through YOUR eyes.
I'm performing the song, "Loving You is Easy" at the Junos this year... and I want to showcase a collage of your videos behind me as I play, expressing the beautiful and comedic elements of love, from Bogey and Bacall kisses to noses colliding when the romantic timing goes awry.
Maybe love for you is perfectly symbolized in the moment Richard Gere picks up Debra Winger in An Officer and a Gentlemen, or maybe you think romantic love is a little less perfect, and looks more like someone choking on an engagement ring that a hopeful suitor put in a champagne flute. Or what about a couple kissing in the rain, and when the camera pulls back - you realize they're under a showerhead, or someone on a ladder pouring water over them. Or just a simple hug, or kiss.
Really, it's all up to you. Just take an Iphone4 or other HD video camera and shoot a short scene of love (no more than 20 seconds), romantic or humorous (just not pornographic!). All the videos should be silent. If you're shooting with an IPhone4, be sure to shoot horizontally. Keep the frame tight, meaning our lovers have to be big in the frame without a ton of background. And why not dress up, and use different locations?
Mostly importantly, have fun. This is your vision of love, after all.

Re: Sarah Asks Fans To Contribute Video For The Juno Awards
Hello Sarah and Buddies,
Well good luck to you all with this collaborative event. I don't usually watch award shows like the Juno Awards but I may have to check it out to see what you come up with.
Sarah, I hope your laryngitis is better.
Re: Sarah Asks Fans To Contribute Video For The Juno Awards
The lost rose
In a bouquet of roses there stood a rose so tall,
Yet there were such beautiful roses surrounding it all,
Some were red and yet some were pink,
and the beautiful roses made me stop and think,
Why did this one rose, which I call the lost rose stand so tall above the rest,
It had thorns and the petals were somewhat torn,
But yet it stood out the most from all the rest,
It was white in color and somewhat small,
Yet it stood out from them all,
And then I realized, the beauty of this rose had come from within,
It was a rose that stood the test of time,
It was the rose you gave me when you were mine
For me my vision of love can not be shown through a picture but felt and written about in a poem!

Hi Sarah, What a great idea to include your fans! just wondering if you are accepting photographs as well, or only video? Digital photography is my thing.
Thanks!

A vision of love
Come sit with us a moment
for there's something you should see
Meditate & contemplate
the truth will surely be
Released from there inside you
in an instant it will flow
Like a lotus flower
in your heart you'll see it glow
A light that shines so brightly
it connects us you & me
The power of love within us all
that sets our spirits free!!!
