SATURDAY AT NOON (April 9th)

My apologies to my fellow poets but I had to go ahead without you. To see what I made out of the top five songs, please go to Community, then Message Boards, Favorite Sarah McLachlan Memories, and finally - Sarah's Top Five Songs. I hope you will make the effort to experience and enjoy it.

FRIDAY NIGHT (April 8th)

Okay, it's midnight. Voting is closed.

THURSDAY NIGHT (April 7th)

No other picks yet? Nobody?

Hey Roughlight,

Thanks for commenting. You are thinking about it and coming back to give your top five songs, right?

Maybe, you are just being a gentleman and letting the ladies go first.

Hey Buddies,

I gave you all a chance to go first but I will get this going now. Here is my top 5.

(For the purposes of suspense, my choices are not displayed here anymore.)

Now, what do you think? Let's have your picks. Be counted.

This poem is awesome, really well done. Thanks.

* Hello MV,

Great comment. Maybe the poem is telling you to take a vacation to the West Coast. Whether Long Beach or Kits Beach is your style, perhaps it is time to get some sand in your feet.

** Hello to the rest of my buddies,

I want to see if I can generate some discussion. Can I switch the topic from poetry back to music though? My question is what are your current top 5 favourite Sarah Mac songs. Did the new Laws of Illusion disc change anything? Please just give me your top 5 songs. I am going with 5 instead of 10 believing it will make for some tough choices. Also, I would ask that we leave out any Christmas songs.

Okay, please start thinking and commenting. Can I have your thoughts by Friday night (April 8th). Thanks.

I like this poem, it is beautiful. I think it is awesome that Sarah was given this poem for her birthday, its very thoughtful.

Hello Buddies,

I read the poem especially as it is Sarah's favourite one and there were no comments yet. As the poem was written for Sarah, there is a obviously a personal connection for her. Nevertheless, the first paragraph certainly evoked memories of the Tofino, Long Beach, and Ucluelet area for me. If you like nature and the ocean, I would certainly recommend it as a tourist destination. But please note, the water is cold. Brrrrr...

While I am here, can I make a few unsolicited points about this website in general? I don't know where would be a better place to post them. Certainly, I empathize that it is time consuming to keep this and the Facebook page up to date while Tweeting too.

a) Would it be possible to add likes for comments especially just to show there is activity on the site? People seem a bit reserved in making comments.

b) Can the message board topics be updated? For instance, Laws of Illusion shows in the upper right corner of this website. On topics for the message board, New Sarah Album 2010 is still showing. Also, can you add an Other or Miscellaneous Topics so we have a place to add comments that don't fit the established categories?

c) Under the Tour section, there is a place for reviews but the concert dates fall off pretty much right after they are done. What is the point then? And how are future concert goers supposed to see reviews of prior shows?

d) I don't understand the way the American and Canadian content are shown. For instance, the last Canadian news is December 3, 2010 but there is more recent Juno Awards news under the American side.

e) Finally, you have news dating back to December 7, 2005 but just dropped some recent postings. If news is older than a few months, perhaps you could put the keepers under an archives tab?
